PDO THREADS

PDO stands for polydioxanone, the name of the substance in which these threads are made of. They are of the same type of material used for dissolvable surgical sutures. The threads are not visible, and will stimulate the development of new collagen and fibrous tissue to hold up your skin and produce a lifted and firmer look. There are different types of PDO threads, depending on your aesthetic needs and goals. 

TREATMENT AREAS: neck | eyebrows | around the eyes | cheeks  | areas that require mild to moderate lifting

TREATMENT: PDO thread lifts involve inserting small threads into the desired areas. After the needles are removed, threads are left to dissolve over the next six months or so. The procedure often does not require anesthesia, but a local anesthetic can be requested for sensitive areas. 

POST TREATMENT: Most people can resume daily activities the day after a PDO thread lift. Side effects may include mild swelling or bruising for a few days or weeks following the treatment. However, intense exercise for the next few days following the treatment should be restricted, as extreme movement may move the location of threads and affect results. Some changes may be seen immediately after, but optimal changes occur two to three weeks after. Results can last anywhere from six months to two years. The treatment can be repeated every six to twelve months to maintain results.
